In 2022 I developed, ran and eventually sold a successful E-Commerce store that generated over 6-figures in revenue. Stripe was the payment processor I used in order to accept card payments from my customers - and I always wondered
how Stripe kept their card details safe.
This is what sparked my (odd) facsination with fintech regulations and it’s where my cyber journey began.
Shortly after that I applied to Cyber Security at the University of Warwick.
Now, alongside my studies I work in a security consultancy that is led by law-enforcement, where I deliver a range of security services to SMEs across the UK. These range from penetration testing and policy reviews to security awareness trainings. I’m so grateful that I had this opportunity as it gave me valuable
practical exposure to various aspects of the security industry - beyond the theory in our lectures.
After graduation I intend to develop my understanding of FCA, DORA and PCI-DSS to provide regulatory compliance services to firms operating in the finance sector.
A few things I know that are probably useful:
- I’m a UI/UX wizard
- PCI-DSS (basic)
- ISO 27001
- FCA (basic)
- NIST
- DORA (basic)
- Python, JS, HTML, CSS
- Burpsuite and Metasploit
- Docker
- GRC Tooling (Eramba)
